If we are talking non-Leica lenses, then the whole lens profile thing becomes irrelevant. In all, it is quick and sufficient to batch corrections. In fact, the 15mm profile overcompensates for vignetting (for my taste) so I skip that. For example, using the CV 10mm with Photoshop 5.1 2 I achieve excellent correction by setting no lens profile which is processed first through ACR, sometimes then from Adobe's profile for the 15mm lens. I religiously use coded lenses wider than 50mm on the M9, recording those lens profiles, because there is just no way to fix the problems those lenses produce on a digital sensor during post-processing outside the camera, at least not unless one has a boatload of free time to fill.Īndy, perhaps you can find where I err. I still have to use a pull-down list to apply Adobe's correction for, say, distortion in a Leica 35 Summicron V.4, if I want (I usually don't want). My Adobe software reads the lens type in EXIF - but for the Leica M lenses, doesn't do anything with that info automatically. I've built my own color profile(s) in Adobe Camera Raw, which is where they get applied. I shoot only DNG, so the in-camera color profiling is not applicable anyway. But can live without them in the case of, E.G., my 135 Tele-Elmar. Can't always tell 75 from 90 or 90 from 135 shots otherwise. I also like having the coded-lens profiles for longer lenses if possible, even though they do not affect image quality. I tried using an uncoded 35 Summilux pre-ASPH when I first got the M9 - even that barely-wide lens had unacceptably cyan corners unless I ID'ed it from the menu list (or eventually applied 6-bit dots for a 35 Summicron v.4 with a Sharpie). I religiously use coded lenses wider than 50mm on the M9, recording those lens profiles, because there is just no way to fix the problems those lenses produce on a digital sensor during post-processing outside the camera, at least not unless one has a boatload of free time to fill. (Unlike the Leica Q - which basically has a 28mm fisheye lens until corrected in-camera to straighten the curving lines - but that's another story). But some software can use the 6-bit ID in EXIF to automatically correct for CA or distortion for you. The M9 only corrects for the severe and M9/digital-specific problems under profile 1. The M9 will not correct for distortion or chromatic aberrations, even if it knows which lens you used. The third is never an in-camera profile either. If shooting jpeg, the in-camera color profile can't be turned off or avoided - it is a hardwired step in producing a jpeg in-camera (along with assigning the color into either sRGB or Adobe 1998 color spaces, and "baking in" sharpening and contrast and saturation, etc.). dngs are not assigned a color profile in the camera anyway, only in the "development" of the raw file in the computer afterwards. The second is irrelevant to shooting raw pictures. Without using the M9's in-camera profile for that, my 21mm would be useless. have no way at all of getting rid of the multi-colored (not just darkened) vignetting that a 35 or wider lens will produce on an M9. The only external post-processing correction that even comes close to doing what the camera can do itself in that regard is CornerFix. The first is absolutely necessary to use in-camera if shooting anything wider than 50mm in color. The second is only used in-camera if shooting jpegs. And only the first counts if shooting raw/DNG. Only the first two are "in-camera" - corrections that the camera itself makes or uses as it saves the file. Profile-based general lens corrections not specific to rangefinders - distortion, normal vignetting, chromatic aberrations. Profile of the color reproduction (a camera profile, not a lens profile) Profiled corrections for wide-angle rangefinder lens problems on a digital sensor (corner vignetting, and color stains around the edges) - the primary reason for the identification of the lens type via 6-bit coding, or the menu list. There are at least 3 things that can be called "profiles" in operating an M9. What "in-camera" profiles are we talking about? (I also use an M9). grids within grids), but that's not ideal. We could apply display: grid to each of these too (i.e. What we want to do is lay out our s and s on this grid. It's not the, , or even the s we're concerned with though. This won't break anything if the browser doesn't support it (it will carry on using display:table). The first thing we do is apply display: grid to the to make it a grid. Go read Rachel Andrew's The New CSS Layout or A Complete Guide to Grid and when you're done wondering where Grid was all your life, come back to me. I'll skip giving an introduction to Grid in this article. It's extremely powerful and simple, allowing you to implement previously tricky layouts with minute amounts of code. Following that, how we leverage Grid to allow users to resize columns, which would be a lot more awkward with regular table-layout CSS. Next, I'll show you how we enhance it with CSS Grid. To begin with, we lay the table out as best we can using regular old-school table-layout CSS. Sorry the GIF is a bit janky, I provide some interactive examples below. As a result this table will be vertically and horizontally scrollable for a lot of salespeople. Date columns should take up less room than long text columns.Ĭolumns must have a minimum width and therefore only so many can fit into the viewport. short / long text, date, number, URL, etc. Column widths then should be determined by their content and the type of values they contain e.g. The table should fill the width of the screen (at least). There are no major layout changes beyond this point but we still want to display the columns as best as we can for the salesperson viewing it.Īssume there are a lot of columns (we'll look at how the user can configure the columns in more detail later). Once we have enough pixels in our canvas to play with, we switch to a more typical table layout such that the columns are. Consider what your users are trying to achieve and choose wisely. There are several existing patterns you could pick from. What a list view looks like on a narrow screen. We start with the most narrow / constrained variant first and tweak the layout based on content, design, use cases (we don't have device-orientated breakpoints).Īt its most minimal, the columns are stacked vertically within rows, spanning the full width of the screen. It's not like an Excel spreadsheet - we can do a better job at laying out the data, which there will be a lot of.Įverything we do is responsively designed. Primarily it allows salespeople to scan a list of items like their leads or contacts, and find anything important they need to take action on. Namely, how we lay out data-heavy tables, how we support resizing of columns, and more.įirst, I need to give some more context, starting with the purpose and design goals of these screens. I'll focus on how we added a lot of flexibility with a few lines of CSS (Grid). I could talk about it for days but I won't bore you. It's a powerful page component which exists seven times in the app - a table on steroids essentially. One interesting piece of the Teamwork CRM puzzle was the "list view". Now that we've launched, I can finally talk about the secret project I've been working on for the last two years. This is always a popular and interesting question. > See “ How to Write the Perfect Dating Profile” Guide Now Are These Good Online Dating Profile Examples to Copy? When it comes to a franchise as monumental as Grand Theft Auto, there’s going to be folks who take advantage of the official silence to fabricate their own ‘leaks’. While it’s not uncommon for companies to bear the relatively low cost of retaining ownership over domain names that may prove useful in future, the fact that they bother to do so at all indicates that the company might have something in the works. It’s a verifiable fact that Take-Two Interactive has renewed its ownership of the domain names ‘gtavi’ and ‘gtavicecityonline’. He played the role as "The Mexican" in 2018. Mexican actor Jorge Consejo lists "Grand Theft Auto VI" on his CV. Many journalists reached out to Jorge Consejo, however, he refused to comment due to contractual obligations. In June of 2021, voice actor Jorge Consejo’s resume leaked the existence of GTA 6 as well as the mysterious character. The only substantial lead we have towards characters is one that has been designated ‘The Mexican’. Their report also suggested that Grand Theft Auto 6 might see a female character taking the lead role, which would be a welcome change from the sequence of strictly male playable characters the series has offered so far. It would also allow players to visit South America, which would give Rockstar plenty of drug-smuggling fodder to work with. This informant stated that Grand Theft Auto 6 was currently being referred to as ‘Project Americas’, and would be set predominately in a city resembling Miami, as did 2002’s Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. #GTAVI #GTA6 #GTAOnline /5rlyW8RFo1įollowing a daisy chain of rumours citing other rumours, you get to a report from YouTube channel Inside Gaming who released a video in 2018 claiming to contain uncorroborated information coming from an anonymous ‘inside source’. When I searched this location on Map, it showed a place in North America and the roads direction were in the shape of VI …. Therefore, Grand Theft Auto VI confirmed, alert the media. But, if you’re really reaching, you could say that the road looks something like a VI, as in, 6. Yep, it’s a fairly standard stretch of zig-zag road somewhere in rural Virginia. Loading them into Google Maps, they were led to the image above. Fans hungry for any hint of Grand Theft Auto 6 noticed some GPS coordinates in a trailer for Grand Theft Auto Online. Sometimes, a stretch of road can lead to a stretch of the imagination. However, representatives from Take-Two have since refuted the analysis, stating that the uncommonly high spending will be directed to third-party companies, rather than internal companies like Rockstar. This particular filing for Rockstar North’s parent company Take-Two Interactive just so happened to mention that they’re planning to drop a whopping $90 million USD on advertising in 2024, which is the kind of spending you’d expect to go towards something equally significant. However, pretty much everything else regarding its existence is hearsay at this point.Īt the moment, the most solid hint at a potential release date comes from speculation arising from a filing to the US Securities and Exchange Commission, which gives potential investors information about a company and its activities. So the official word is that, yes, Grand Theft Auto 6 is being worked on right now. “I like to feel I was a part of that,” Taylor said.
